Rashford Demanded to Rise Under Amorim, Time to Become a True MU Leader
Marcus Rashford has been disappointing with Manchester United lately. According to English legend Teddy Sheringham, Rashford must immediately show the leadership attitude needed by the team under new coach Ruben Amorim.
Rashford has been in the spotlight at Manchester United lately, as the England winger has shown a significant decline in performance.
As a mainstay, Rashford is expected to make a big contribution. However, this season he has not shown the desired consistency.
Rashford has scored just four goals in 18 appearances this season, and his lackluster form has left many disappointed, especially loyal Red Devils fans.

Rashford Must Be a Leader
Sheringham highlighted Rashford as the man who should be Amorim's main focus. According to Sheringham, Rashford's role in the team is not only to score goals and provide assists, but also as a source of inspiration for his teammates and the fans.
"I look at these United players, and maybe they don't realise it or think about it, but they need a leader. Marcus Rashford has to look at the manager and think, 'I like the way he talks; I like his energy, I understand what he wants, and we've got to do it. I'm going to lead from the front.'" Sheringham told Best Offshore Sportsbooks.
"Younger players will then look at Rashford and think, 'If you show me how, I'll follow you too. Come on, let's move together.'"

Not a Young Player Anymore
Although Rashford was known as a promising young talent, he is now one of the most experienced players in the squad. According to Sheringham, the leadership on the pitch that was expected from Rashford has not been seen.
"He's not a youngster anymore. He's an experienced player now," added Sheringham.
"It's funny how time can change someone so quickly from a young player to a senior presence. Suddenly, you're an experienced player, looking around the dressing room and being expected to lead.
"Rashford has played a lot for England, and he should be leading from the front. But that hasn't been the case at Manchester United. That has to change."
