England Edges Closer to UEFA Nations League Promotion with Dominant Win Over Greece
England moved a step closer to UEFA Nations League promotion with an impressive 3-0 victory over Greece on Thursday.
Looking to avenge their unexpected defeat at Wembley, the Three Lions dominated their opponents with goals from Ollie Watkins, debutant Curtis Jones, and an own goal by Odisseas Vlachodimos, prompted by a Jude Bellingham shot that struck the post.
This win puts England at the top of their group, level on points with Greece but ahead due to superior goal difference and head-to-head results.
A win of any sorts against the Republic of Ireland at Wembley on Sunday will see England return to League A at the first attempt.
