Japan Masters 2024 Results: Sabar/Reza Advance to Last 16
Indonesian men's doubles pair Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani defeated Taiwanese pair Chiang Chien-Wei/Wei Chun Wei 12-21, 21-16, 21-10, to qualify for the last 16 of the 2024 Japan Masters .
In the round of 32 match at Kumamoto Prefectural Gymnasium, Wednesday (11/13/2024), Sabar/Reza were involved in a tough duel with their opponents.

In the first game, Sabar/Reza was able to serve Chiang/Wei until before the interval. But after that the opposing pair was able to continue advancing with a 21-12 victory.

Sabar/Reza rose in the second game. After stepping on the gas and leading 11-5 in the interval, Sabar/Reza were not discouraged to win this game with 21-16.

The momentum continued for the Indonesian pair in the third game. Sabar/Reza quickly defeated their opponents to secure victory in a match that lasted 41 minutes.

The result means Sabar/Reza have qualified for the second round, aka the last 16, of the 2024 Japan Masters , a BWF Super 500 tournament. Hosts sixth seed Takuro Hoki/Yugo Kobayashi will be their next opponents.

In the last 16, Indonesia also has other men's doubles pairs, namely Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto, Muhammad Shohibul Fikri/Daniel Marthin, and Leo Rolly Carnando/Bagas Maulana.
