Juventus beat Como 3-0 on Motta's debut
Juventus beat newly-promoted Como 3-0 in their Serie A opener at a sold-out Allianz Stadium on Monday as coach Thiago Motta made his official debut at the Turin-based club.
Forward Samuel Mbangula put Juve in front in the 23rd minute with a solo effort, sending the ball into the bottom corner.
Juventus extended their lead in first-half stoppage time through winger Timothy Weah, who fired home a Kenan Yildiz cross and saw the ball bounce in off the inside of the bar, and Andrea Cambiaso added the third from a distance just before fulltime.
Juventus, who finished third behind champions Inter Milan and AC Milan last season to secure their return to the Champions League following a year's absence, next travel to Hellas Verona on Aug. 26.
